Peter Russo, "House of Cards"

Image
Any fan of Netflix’s “House of Cards” knows that it is not for the faint of heart. If a character starts to become a moral compass, they’re probably going to die, and that is exactly what happened to Peter Russo, played by Corey Stoll in the very first season. Although I myself am fortunate enough to have never had a problem with substance or alcohol abuse, but I have seen up close how it slowly eats away at someone who really could have been a great person. I can’t help but love Peter Russo . When we meet him, he is a member of the House of Representatives, divorced but still affectionate father and secretly seeing his executive assistant Christina Gallagher. He and his wife Madalyn however do not appear to be on good terms. He’s bad, but not that bad. Then, the manipulative House Majority Whip Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey enters his life and it’s all downhill from there. Peter Russo was arrested for a DUI and soliciting a prostitute and Frank Underw

Coach Steve, "Big Mouth"

The Netflix original series “Big Mouth” is difficult to describe and that’s probably an understatement. Whether you’re a classic “Family Guy,” a politically angsty “South Park” or masochistic “Rick and Morty” fan, most people have their go-to adult cartoon. I never did. I think they’re kind of weird and hard to relate to and “Sausage Party” was absolutely excruciating to me. But I’ve recently found, like many of the characters in “Big Mouth,” “I’m going through changes”—although thankfully, not the same ones. The cartoon, originally released on Sept. 29, 2017, is about puberty and it is absolutely ridiculous. But as ridiculous as I find it, it’s also low-key relatable and I think that’s what impresses me most about it. Disclaimer: I can really only speak for girls in terms of the show’s relatability. I don’t know how relatable it is for guys, I’m not sure I want to know how relatable it is for guys after watching it, but my fear is that the depiction of male puberty

Hank Schrader, "Breaking Bad"

To be honest, I was late to the party when it came to this neo-western crime drama. Although I thoroughly enjoyed Breaking Bad , I definitely wish I hadn’t heard all the hype beforehand because it definitely impacted my experience in that I think I expected too much going in. Nonetheless, great show and I think everyone should watch it because it definitely made me wish I was cool enough to make Meth, although, I probably shouldn’t say that as an aspiring FBI agent… Just kidding, this show does however appeal to me because of my career aspirations and interest in crime in general and perhaps this is why the character of Hank Schrader played by Dean Norris had such a significant impact on me. Dean Norris Hank’s struggles throughout the show aren’t exactly subtle, he definitely wears his heart on his sleeve in terms of his frustration with the Heisenberg case and his distress when he finds out that Walt is the one behind it. Not to mention he gets shot in the head bef

Mark Sloan, "Grey's Anatomy"

The 13-season and counting television drama Grey’s Anatomy has a varietal plethora of struggles to pick from, so choosing just one to highlight was particularly challenging. However, after much soul searching I would like to direct your attention to the character of Mark Sloan played by Eric Dane . I’ve always had a particular soft spot in my heart for McSteamy, I’m pretty sure it has to do with my affinity for bad boys and no, it has not been a particularly rewarding trait of mine. But apparently, it really isn’t for Sloaner either. I’m sure that all 13-season certified Grey’s fans will remember that we were first introduced to Mark Sloan as Addison Montgomery’s “dirty mistress” and Derek Shepherd’s ex-best friend. From his first appearance on-screen, he’s getting into to trouble with the women of Seattle Grace Hospital starting with our leading lady, Meredith Grey. Eric Dane Although he earns a swift crack to the jaw from his romantic rival McDreamy, it does
